La entonación de las preguntas declarativas en las variedades del inglés británico del norte en habla espontánea

Resumo

En este estudio, analizamos una muestra de 76 enunciados extraídos de un corpus de habla espontánea de la zona norte de Inglaterra. Los enunciados seleccionados presentan una estructura declarativa con distintas funciones pragmáticas (yes/no questions, echo questions, tag questions y rethorical questions). El objetivo de este estudio es observar y describir la entonación de las preguntas con estructura declarativa del inglés del norte de Inglaterra en habla espontánea. Asimismo, se realiza la revisión bibliográfica pertinente para su posterior discusión en vista de los resultados obtenidos. El análisis se realiza en Praat, a través del método de Análisis Melódico del Habla (CANTERO, 2002) que permite la extracción de curvas melódicas estilizadas, cuantificables y comparables entre sí. Como resultado de este análisis, obtenemos cinco perfiles melódicos diferentes que podemos definir como ascendente (21%), descendente (50%), ascendente-descendente (13%), inflexión final con núcleo elevado (4%) y declinación e inflexión final ascendente (12%).
