Para uma crítica à noção de diferença: o caso da política linguística

Resumo
O texto propõe uma crítica à noção de diferença – e de diversidade – em políticas linguísticas a partir de uma revisão das reflexões de Saussure sobre o conceito de língua. Trata-se de considerar (i) a inscrição da diferença como constitutiva do conceito saussuriano de língua; (ii) a (suposta) tensão entre homogeneidade e heterogeneidade inscrita nesse conceito; (iii) a impossibilidade de um objeto puro. A partir desses elementos, refletimos sobre a noção de diversidade que embala a sociolinguística e as políticas linguísticas, fazendo referência à genealogia desses campos disciplinares e ao modo como eles têm discursivizado as línguas a partir de um fascínio pela diversidade. Por fim, indagamos sobre as origens desse fascínio em diálogo tanto com o papel da diacronia na constituição do objeto saussuriano, como com alguns nomes próprios que nos colocam, genealogicamente, em contato com a questão judaica.
